The  local  band comprising of 70 or more villagers of all ages   this is
                          '    La Primitiva '    of Castell de Castells


Above we have the statue of Santa Cecilia leaving the church on her festival day. ( 22nd November ) The statue was built in 2001 by a young member of the band, 16 year old Estaban Carreres. ( Photo above right )
The original statue, much smaller, was damaged the previous year when she fell off the carrying platform. The whole thing was captured on video and then entered into a television competition for the funniest home video. It won and the winnings went toward the cost of this new statue.
Friday evenings and on Saturdays music lessons are held in the Casa Cultura. The band practice together every Friday evening.
Impromptu music is often played in the local bar or square by enthusiastic members of the band after summer parades.
